Durham University has been working closely with the DUSSRC, particularly with the Anthropology Department and the Sustainability, Energy and Development sector. This collaboration has been instrumental in promoting the performance of the DUSSRC and linking the cultures between the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Egypt and Sudan through sustainability research. The focus has been on building Integrated Smart cities that combine several lifestyles and offer a high quality of life. The partnership has been successful in achieving its goals and has paved the way for further cooperation in the future.
